Mission:
Powerful Mind Coaching helps adults with demanding careers hone professional skills and honor personal priorities to succeed at the office and at home. A special focus is helping professors meet the demands of academic and family life. I offer services in the areas of work/life balance coaching, leadership development and executive coaching, professional and personal communication skill development, personal and organizational stress management, mind/body health coaching, and developing extemporaneous and formal speaking skills. In-person and telephone coaching services are available.
Vision:
Knowing how busy my clients are, I offer a number of efficient ways to get the support and information you need in a variety of formats. In addition to on-on-one coaching, I offer group coaching (less expensive with the benefit of a peer group) for professionals at all stages of their careers. No time for coaching right now? I offer a growing list of eCourses that provide specific, problem-based information and exercises on common challenges that you can purchase and work through at your own pace. Currently, I offer a course in Effective Communication, and will be adding others in the near future, so stay tuned! In addition, a special focus of my practice is helping university faculty get through the tenure and promotion process, and as such, I offer intensive dossier review and consultation to support you as you go through that “make or break” process. I’m also proud to offer a free eZine, Making it All Work: Your Career, Your Family, and Your Health, that provides articles, tips, and strategies you can use now to make the most of your time at work and at home, to make sure you have time for “you” and your spouse or partner. My goal is to serve as a partner to you as you navigate the sometimes turbulent waters of being a successful, upwardly-mobile professional and being a compassionate, engaged parent.
Values:
Coaching is the most rewarding thing I do, next to being a Mom, of course. I’ve been both lucky and challenged in my own career and personal life, and as a coach, I get to translate my training and experience into a resource for my clients. At the core my work a commitment to providing a safe, professional, and supportive environment for parents who are working in demanding careers to develop strategies for succeeding as professionals while honoring their families and own well-being. I am incredibly fortunate to have the chance to work with such creative, bright, caring people to help get them where they want to go professionally and personally.
