Broad and collaborative leadership and management role overseeing all aspects of faculty and staff affairs and research for the college of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). The college is comprised of 15 departments and programs offering undergraduate and graduate degrees and serves 12,000 students annually. Responsibilities include:
-Overseeing tenure and promotion and post-tenure review processes and reporting
-Completing faculty and staff annual evaluations and merit pay adjustment processes
-Coordinating faculty and staff hiring and negotiating and executing contracts
-Developing and implementing academic and personnel-related policies in cooperation with faculty governance groups and administration
-Supporting and deepening shared governance between faculty and administration
-Grants and contracts administration and pre-award proposal development support
-Deploying and evaluating faculty mentoring and retention programs
-Reviewing and increasing quality of college and departmental processes for faculty tenure and promotion and merit reviews
-Mentoring faculty and department chairs on processes and goal-setting relating to tenure and promotion and research
-Working with other academic and administrative units to develop campus policies and procedures related to faculty affairs and research
-Creating and sustaining support structures to facilitate cooperation and shared responsibility between academic units and the college

Management and facilitation role overseeing all aspects of curriculum development and scheduling, implementation and support of shared governance, and advancement of programs and infrastructure supporting undergraduate research in CLAS. Responsibilities included:
-Collaborating with departments and administrative staff to create the schedule of courses each semester
-Overseeing staffing, rooming, and enrollment for all courses in the college

Management and leadership of a research-active, highly productive unit with a strong commitment to student engagement and teaching. The Department of Psychology is comprised of 15 full-time faculty and serves approximately 600 undergraduate majors (B.A. and B.S.) and 20 graduate students (M.A. and PhD). Responsibilities included:
-Coordinating instructors, faculty, and teaching assistants to offer courses, advising, and research opportunities for more than 900 majors
-Overseeing staffing, rooming, and enrollment for all courses in the college
-Developing a financial model for and gaining final approval of a new PhD program in Clinical Health Psychology
-Conducting merit reviews and post-tenure evaluations for 12 faculty members
-Building relationships between the department and other units on and off the campus to facilitate research and new curricular programs focused on Clinical Health Psychology
Chair, Faculty Assembly, University of Colorado at Denver, 2004-2006
Leadership role for the faculty side of shared governance at the University of Colorado Denver. Faculty Assembly is an elected body which is charged with collaborative planning and policy-setting for academic and faculty affairs on the campus and serving in a consultative role to campus administration on matters of budget and fiscal policy. Responsibilities included:
-Organizing and engaging elected faculty from the 5 schools and colleges on the campus to efficiently address matters affecting all faculty on the campus
-Staffing 6 standing committees and working to support them in serving as the faculty voice in matters ranging from of budget to academic policy to diversity.
-Working closely with the Provost to facilitate and execute a comprehensive academic master planning process
-Collaborating with campus administration to develop policies and procedures relating to shared governance and academic affairs
-Connecting with other faculty governance bodies in the CU System and in the state to address matters of importance to all higher education faculty in Colorado
